"The World Beneath Us"

I felt it necessary to issue a second shirt for Align in addition to the "Bird & Nest" design that came out with the release of the LP.  "The World Beneath Us" as a track title came to me during the mixing of the record.  While working on the recording, tt took a while to finally decide on track titles, having sketched out names and constructing art to correlate for a large part of of 2010.  This title mixes together both of my interests in the symbolism of bird species and the point of origin that this album, and specifically this track, represent for WHOTE.

The new design is built from photos that I took this summer;  turkey vultures, ivy vines and the old, tall oaks of the Northeast.  I wanted to bring these elements together for one more piece of art in support of the Align album...and to start piecing together new ideas for the next recording...    

I will do a short run of the design for the time being.  I picked out the shirts, ink and did them one hot afternoon here in New York City.  Fixer applied to the ink and individually ironed after drying to ensure durability.  This design is available on four sizes: S,M,L,XL.

This is the new dragon icon.  I printed a few on the 10 oz canvas, but decided to wait to commit to shirt.  Planning on making the tweaked shirt version available closer to the release of the new track this Winter.   More on this later...
